Conditions of Sales Agreement
We make every effort to produce high-quality, purebred, calves that are happy and healthy. Our cows can be used for show, breeding, or as pets. The following is a standard term of sales agreement. Please take the time to review all conditions and terms completely.
Deposit – A non-refundable deposit of 25% per animal will be required in order to hold an animal prior to their weaning and going to their new home. The remaining balance is due in cash at pick-up or paid in full with Zelle, Venmo or PayPal beforehand. A receipt of the deposit and signed contract will secure the reservation of the chosen animal(s). This receipt also acts as the buyer’s acceptance of these conditions of sale.
Payment – Payments must be made in cash, check, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal. We do not accept personal checks when picking up animals. Pick up balances must be paid in full and cleared at time of pick-up.
Pick-Up – If the balance is not received and/or the animal(s) is not picked up by the agreed upon date, or other arrangements have not been made ahead of time, the animal(s) will be offered to the next interested party and the deposit will be forfeited. Any outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to the animal leaving the farm.
Breeding Services – Snyder Ranch does not offer breeding services or stud services at this time.
Things to Consider When Purchasing Cattle as Pets
All calves are kept with their mothers and we do NOT bottle feed unless a calf has been rejected by a first-time mother, etc.
Cattle are larger animals and despite how they have been depicted on social media still require appropriate training, care, diet and management involved with keeping them. A basic knowledge foundation in cattle and their care will better help you and the animal have a successful life together.
If you are a first time cattle owner, we highly encourage you to purchase a basic care book or do research to give you a good basis to start. So much with animal care and cost is about prevention and that comes from knowledge.
While cattle can make cute pets, it is important to consider the following:
They are generally large animals without regard for their own size. They require space, company, food, and water.
They can have moods (remember that a bull is a bull no matter how much you love him!)
Cows could get protective when caring for their calf. Smaller animals and people can present themselves as a threat.
Unfortunately, as with all animals; they may become ill beyond your ability of care and require veterinary assistance. This can get pricey and there is no guarantee. Please consider connecting with a local veterinary before making an investment in livestock.
