Our calves remain with their mothers until they're naturally ready to leave, giving them the strong foundation every Highland deserves.

Before heading home, every calf begins halter training, and we'll show you how we've started so you can continue building their confidence.

DNA Tested

Every calf is DNA tested through UC Davis to verify parentage and determine chondro status, so you'll know exactly what you're bringing home.

Our breeding program focuses on true miniature Highlands, with breeding stock ranging from approximately 36"–42", including two micro-miniatures under 36".

Bringing Home Your Highland

What Comes Home
With Your Cow

Every cow that leaves Snyder Ranch has been thoughtfully cared for from the very beginning. We believe that responsible breeding is about more than producing beautiful cattle—it's about preparing both the calf and its new family for a successful future together.

When you purchase a calf from Snyder Ranch, you can expect:

DNA testing through UC Davis to verify parentage and determine chondro status.

A calf that's been raised with its mother until approximately six months of age, allowing for healthy development, herd socialization, and a strong foundation.

Halter training already started, along with guidance on how to continue building confidence and trust once your calf is home.

Honest, transparent information about your calf, including bloodlines, color, registration status (when applicable), estimated mature height, and DNA results.

Lifetime support from our family. Whether you have questions next week or years from now, we're always happy to help however we can.

Above all, we hope you'll leave with more than a Highland—we hope you'll leave with confidence, knowledge, and a relationship with our family that lasts long after your calf arrives home.
